After lots of careful fine grit sanding to prepare the surface of the frame to a good smooth quality, the finish top coat was applied. Without the benefit of a paint spray gun I applied the top coat resin by brush but taking care it achieved a good enough finish for this prototype build. The aim was to build a strong reliable tandem so if we could get an attractive finish to the frame at this early stage, then that would be a bonus. We were pleased, it looked reasonably good, but lots of improvements were needed throughout the process for the next frame builds to achieve the perfect cosmetic finish we are aspiring to. We now know what we have to do! We are learning!
