I began carefully cutting tube ends and holes by hand and with a Dremel grinder, regularly checking the cuts against the paper template on the floor. To cut the right shape notches in the tubes I found a tube notch template maker online that produced paper templates to wrap around the tubes to guide the cutting shape. It was cheap and meant I didn’t need machinery such as lathes or pillar drills.
